Teacher Resources

The resources on this page were selected due to their depth of content as well as their inclusivity of all poets, whether published or developing. These pages typically focus on the high school level but are not strictly for advanced classes.  Teachers presenting a unit on poetry will find historical and/or living poets reading their original works, concise definitions often with examples, and many resources that students may explore on their own. 

The intent of this page is to assist you, the educator, as you identify and guide your future poets. Anyone may eventually develop a deep enjoyment for poems or begin to develop themselves through their writing of poetry as a lifelong endeavor and WFOP hopes this resource page will encourage this process.
