We are the product
of a thousand loves, well met
halves of a union
of circuitous
paths. As we act out what’s left
of that story, that
morsel of patent
lineage that we alone
share, I am thankful
always that each of
us chose good. And like the glads
on the counter that
bloom bottom up, our
time on Earth opens daily,
luscious and skyward.
