for two voices
I am longing for down time
Haven’t you had enough already?
Falling into delight
a place of no error
Where every glad, glorious, or groveling moment
is a reminder
That nothing lasts forever
which is a good thing.
To become aware that everything is always
relaxing, expanding, changing
You need the right vehicle
so be inventive
And if you have no car, no boat?
then a raft will do
or a carpet?
Yes, or any shallow surface
upon which you can stretch
yourself taut to illumine your wings
then fly?
yes, then fly.
